Emon (Environmental Monitoring)

Emon is a cost-effective shortcode data-capturing tool whereby users send data via SMS that's stored and made into meaningful reports.

Emon can be used to replace paper-based monitoring systems when more complex interfaces are not possible, or necessary. Users need only an ordinary cellphone to be able to capture data. Data is captured in realtime - or very close to realtime if batching many records together into one SMS which is possible by setting up predefined codes.

Monitoring processes in any industry is essential. Whether it be monitoring complex manufacturing processes, or monitoring the cleaning of bathrooms, monitoring historically has been paper-based.

Emon is a digital replacement for a paper-based monitoring log-sheet. The problem with paper-based systems, is that they need additional
resources to collect, capture and analyse the information. This can also cause delays before problem areas are able to be identified. Not to mention the paper waste!
